Apartment Haus Bogaart (Lungau)

House

We are very pleased to welcome you on our website.

We are Alfons, Ine and Jack and in 2008 we started with the construction of our house in the village of St. Martin, which is part of the town of St. Michael. We ourselves are visiting this area for over 25 years and there are plenty of reasons for that. Here you may experience good old-fashioned Austrian hospitality, one may enjoy the mountains, beautiful lakes and wonderful scenery and a lot of other possibilities are at your disposal to have a marvellous holiday both in winter as well as in summer. For the winter season (cross-country) skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, Eisstockschiessen (a kind of curling), walking, hiking and much more other nice and pleasant activities can be mentioned. For the other seasons the neighbourhood opens up countless active possibilities such as: walking, hiking, mountain biking, aquatic sports, angling, summer tobogganing, golf and tennis. Or you simply enjoy a relaxed vacation without the day-to-day stress.

The house

House

The apartment is situated on the ground floor and is suitable for 6 to 7 persons. The apartment has a surface area of approximately 100 m2. It consists of a very large living room annex open kitchen, 2 large bedrooms (a twin-bedded room for 3 persons and a double bedroom) with adjacent bathroom, a separate restroom and a double (guest) bedroom with its own bathroom and toilet.

The location

St. Michael, the town of which St. Martin is a part, is situated in the federal state Salzburgerland and in the region Lungau, approximately 100 kilometres (60 miles) south of Salzburg, the second largest city in Austria. Accessibility is through highway as far as the village, even in winter, very well. In Austria you are required to carry snow chains with you and it is recommendable to have snow tyres installed.

Environment

Lungau is a perfect holiday spot for all seasons. It is the sunniest region of Austria and the district has not yet become prey to mass tourism. The scenery and nature are therefore nearly unspoilt and also in winter one may enjoy the mountains and the snow in all quietness. Furthermore, there are quite a lot of museums, ancient churches and castles available.
